EXPERIENCE

Teaching Assistant

As a graduate teaching assistant for the advanced mathematical programming course for two consecutive years, I had the privilege of leading Python tutorial sessions for up to 30 graduate students. The goal of these sessions was to help students understand how to use linear and convex optimization methods to optimize energy systems.

I was also the teaching assistant for the process engineering course. Throughout the course, I led hands-on tutorials in which students worked with Aspen Plus and EES to model and optimize different chemical processes. They learned how to use the software to perform process simulations, and they were able to see how the pinch analysis could be applied to reduce water and energy consumption. I also graded their midterm and final exams, as well as their term papers, to ensure that they were understanding the material and making progress in their studies

Research Assistant

As a research assistant at the Renewable Energy System Lab, I am proud to share our latest project on solar thermal energy collection. Our team has installed a solar water heating system in the roof of the faculty building, where space constraints presented a unique challenge. However, we were able to overcome this challenge by using 3D modeling software to plan and optimize the system design for the roof space.
